From KT – Anxiety and confidence issues
“Low confidence has always been a problem for me, and in my final year of school, I was very worried about leaving home and starting University. I didn’t feel like I was ready for all that was coming, and often felt panicked and stressed.
I came to see Roland with the hope of learning how to deal with my nerves before this big change. He not only helped me to work through my fear of leaving home, but sessions with him ultimately also improved my perspective of my work at school, helping me to try to be more confident in myself.
The sessions were so beneficial, always in a calm and welcoming environment. Roland really helped to put things into perspective for me, and I always felt able to speak openly about how I was feeling without fear of embarrassment or judgment.
I am now in my third year of University, on a year abroad. Having just completed the first half working in Paris, I look back to how much I feared leaving home, and I can’t believe I ever felt that way.
I will always be grateful to Roland for being so patient and understanding during that time, and for helping me face what would end up being an amazing change in my life, with more confidence and optimism. Thank you Roland!”
From GM (visited me whilst I was working in the Healing Fields at Glastonbury Festival 2011) Sought hypnotherapy for poor memory
“Hi Roland,
I am not sure if you will remember me but my name is GM and I visited you at Glastonbury 2011. I asked you if you was able to help me with my memory?
After leaving you I don’t think I have ever felt so relaxed, it felt like time had slowed down and I had all the time in the world to take things in.
I am so pleased to say that your efforts have worked, a simple example of this is I have remembered your name to be able to find your web site and send you this email! 🙂
But in all seriousness I have noticed “huge” changes in my memory, so much to say even my manager (who has a super memory) has commented at some of the facts/figures I’ve been able to recall over a surprisingly long period, after my visit with you.
You explained how memory works and how it can be located. It feels as though you have reprogrammed my brain and now I’m able to explore my memory freely. I thought it was only fair I should let you now how I got on and I’d like to take this opportunity thank you so much for your help. I wish you all the very best of luck for the future.
Yours most gratefully,
GM”
From Richard Charon (Dentist in Newbury) – Dental issues
“Roland has provided expert help to some of my dental patients whose phobias go beyond that which are normally coped with using traditional sedation techniques. The results we have seen for those clients has been truly remarkable and has enabled them to receive the dental care they require and as a result Roland’s service has been life-changing for these people.
I continue to refer patients in this category to Roland and would have no hesitation in recommending his hypnotherapy expertise to cope with a wide range of fears and phobias.”

From VM (London) – Work performance related issues
“CBT Hypnosis has really helped to me gain perspective, and not to sweat the small stuff and to understand that we all have it in us to sort out the larger issues out.
This shift in perspective has really meant that I am much calmer and more focused in my everyday life.”
From Dr. C.P. (Berkshire) – Exam anxiety
“I had always had problems with feeling nervous in exams and interviews throughout my academic life. Having submitted my PhD thesis, the next problem was to be my viva examination, where I needed to be prepared to answer questions based on my project for several hours.
Life at this point became unmanageable. I could not sleep, was becoming physically ill with nerves, and revision was impossible as I could not focus on the piles of papers and notes which I needed to know by heart. After one particularly miserable morning, where I had a full blown panic attack, I decided enough was enough and I needed some help. I found Roland’s details on the internet and phoned him up. Initially I felt slightly foolish, but after a 10 minute conversation on the phone, felt instantly supported and calmed by Roland’s words.
I booked an initial session with Roland, partially not convinced that it would work, but willing to try anything to rid my crippling nerves. At the initial consult, Roland took time to tell me about his background and what he did exactly, before asking about me, my problems and goals. This was completely unrushed, and it was a relief to simply talk to someone who was willing to listen and not judge.
After about an hour, he explained how he was going to hypnotise me and answered any questions I had before going through the process. I did not fully believe that I was hypnotised until part way through the session. At this point Roland was addressing my ‘unconscious’ self and asking for yes no answers by movements using my left and right index fingers, which occurred seemingly by themselves. At the end of the session, when I was ‘woken up’, was a very surreal sensation. This left me feeling very much alive, positive and best of all feeling really happy and relaxed, something that I had not felt for months.
As well as the initial session, Roland also gave me instructions for self-hypnosis to try at home on a daily basis to help enforce the suggestions he had made during my inital session.
After the session, the euphoria remained for several days and I was able to revise without panic attacks or physical manifestations for the next couple of weeks leading up to the exam. I felt confident and calm, and used the self-hypnosis methods to both focus before revision and to help me sleep.
I booked a second session with Roland for the night before my exam and similarly came out relaxed, refreshed and confident. The following day, I experienced some pre-exam jitters, but these seemed more positive in their nature, sort of expectant and excited rather than fearful. The exam went very well and I was able to relax and enjoy the experience, passing the exam with very flattering comments from the examiners about my defence of my thesis.
I would recommend anyone suffering with the same issues to give hypnotherapy a go. It truly is a wonderful feeling and an incredible experience which I cannot describe in words, both at the time and days afterwards. As far as I am concerned Roland has released me from something that has hampered me for decades, and has left me feeling confident and in control of my life for the first time in years.”
